BSGF expands its operations in Northern Thailand, promoting public health and environmental care in partnership with the Thanachoke Group and the Gassan Golf Course Group. The initiative involves purchasing used cooking oil for SAF production, with plans

Recently, Mr. Thammarat Prayoonsuk, Senior Executive Vice President of the Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group at Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, and Chairman of BSGF Co., Ltd., together with Mr. Prawit Roengpho, Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Promporn Iamjitmetta, Managing Director of Gassan Khuntan Golf & Resort Co., Ltd., and Mr. Thanawat Linchongsupongkot, Chairman of the Thanachoke Group, jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the cooperation campaign: “Avoid Reusing Cooking Oil and Convert Used Oil into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to Reduce Environmental Impact and Promote Better Public Health.”
The MOU was signed between BSGF Co., Ltd., the Thanachoke Group, and the Gassan Golf Course Group, with the ceremony witnessed by Mr. Nirat Pongsitthithaworn, Governor of Chiang Mai; Mr. Santithorn Yimlamai, Governor of Lamphun; Mr. Ratthaphon Naradisorn, Governor of Phayao; and Mr. Chatchawan Chayabut, Governor of Lampang, along with deputy governors, representatives from the Department of Health, and the Director of Lamphun Hospital. The signing took place at Gassan Khuntan Golf & Resort, Lamphun Province.

The objective of this MOU is to manage used cooking oil as a key raw material for SAF production. The initiative aims to encourage citizens and business operators across Northern Thailand to refrain from reusing cooking oil for food preparation. The partners plan to expand the network to all 17 northern provinces and promote public awareness through community-based campaigns in collaboration with local networks such as health centers, temples, and schools. This joint effort seeks to enhance public health and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability.
