Recently, Mr. Thammarat Prayunsuk, Senior Executive Vice President of the Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group at Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited and Chairman of BSGF Company Limited, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khosit Sriputhorn, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Khon Kaen Campus, who presided over the ceremony, Mr. Thanawat Linjongsupongkot, Chief Executive Officer of Thanachoke Vegetable Oil (2012) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Jittathep Nuengjamnong, Chief Executive Officer of Green World UCO Co., Ltd., participated in the signing ceremony for the collaboration and the opening of a training project to raise awareness about the health hazards of reused cooking oil. The ceremony also included an extended signing with a network of 17 organizations, including businesses in the Northeastern region and educational institutions such as Nakhon Ratchasima Technical College, Sawang Daen Din Technical College, Udon Thani Vocational College, Udon Thani Technical College, and Khon Kaen Vocational College. The initiative aims to promote knowledge about the health risks of reused cooking oil and environmental preservation through the collection and use of used oil to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It also fosters cooperation among all participating organizations in managing used oil, driving the area toward becoming a green zone. The event was held at RMUTI, Khon Kaen Campus.
During the event, Mr. Thammarat also delivered a special lecture on “Directions and Development Approaches for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to Support Thailand’s Strategy,” along with special presentations from other executives attending the ceremony. The session drew strong interest from participants and helped reinforce awareness of the dangers of reused cooking oil, the importance of good health and environmental stewardship, and encouraged collaboration in collecting used cooking oil for sale to the Bangchak Group through BSGF Co., Ltd., for use in producing SAF—an environmentally friendly, low-carbon fuel for a sustainable world.
