Bangchak Group Purchases Used Cooking Oil from Partners, the Renowned Food Brands Five Star Chicken and S&P through the Fry to Fly Project for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Production

Bangchak Group executives, led by Thamarat Paryoonsuk, Senior Executive Vice President, Nipon Lerttassanee, Executive Vice President, Project Management, Engineering and Logistics Business, Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group, Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President, Corporate Branding, Communication and Sustainability Activation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, along with executives and employees from BSGF company Limited, a joint venture between Bangchak Corporation, BBGI Public Company Limited, and Thanachok Oil Light Company Limited, led by Tanawat Linjongsubongkot, Managing Director, in collaboration with two major food industry partners “Five Star Chicken”, represented by Sunthorn Jaksukan, Head of Five Star and Food Chain Business, Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited, and Maneesuda Sila-On, Chief Sustainability Officer, S&P Syndicate Public Company Limited, the operator of S&P Restaurant and Bakery, jointly collected used cooking oil for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production as part of BSGF’s “Fry to Fly” campaign. The campaign manages used cooking oil to produce SAF to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the aviation industry aligned with the entire Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model. Additionally, it contributes to environmental preservation and consumer health.

The “Fry to Fly” campaign has already collected used cooking oil from more than 130 Five Star Chicken branches in the Bangkok Metropolitan area since 8 November 2023, and 113 S&P Restaurant and Bakery branches participating in Phase 1 of the campaign since 1 October 2023.
